Monday, July 10th … Day 64 … Kaloloch Beach Campground, Olympic National Park, Washington, USA
Long, deep sleep last night, I could get use to this …. Lots of chores this morning, living in a small space we need to find easier ways of putting things away or a acquire lot more countertop to spread it out! Ha! Paid a visit the Parks Ranger Station today to get some info on access to area hiking trails and their condition. We left there with some options for another trip or two this week. Stayed and played in the campground today, took the bikes for a ride, gobbled up lunch then headed down the beach walking north about a mile or so along the shore, just ahead of us an eagle was standing on the shoreline stalking a small otter playing in the shallow surf, he got wind of us and flew away… pretty cool… tide was going out so we were able to get around a rocky bluff and shoreline to a gorgeous secluded cove. A little slice of heaven…. Don’t think it got much above 60 today, right time to bake up some Blondies for desert tonight. Heading north tomorrow for another adventure along the coast…..
