Saturday, August 12th  … Day 97 … Salmon Lake State Park, Seeley Lake, Montana

Another slow get up today, nice night’s sleep, nice big breakfast, nice swim in the lake yesterday. Into town today, not big at all, just a few shops and stores on the main drag and the encampment of about 500 fire fighters from all over the place. Remember Carol’s friend Donna that we stopped to see in Troy, Mt. well I put 2 & 2 together and we called her and her husband is fighting this fire, staying in this very encampment but was home for a couple days and so we did not get a chance to meet him….almost! Folks in town are saying it may burn until the snow flies. Took a while but I got to put up quite a few blogs and make some phone calls as we have not had internet and little cell going on 12 days, big laundry day  and visited a few shops. While in town we also planned our route back home, mostly route 90 all the way, not going to push it too hard, estimate about a 7 day travel. Relaxed the rest of the afternoon, split a chicken in two, half a lemon under each, season, foil and set it on the grill along with some nailed potatoes (whole potato with an aluminum nail through it, foil & oil). So, so good, Carol’s favorite! Do I talk about food a lot?................
